The 7 is a 2 button control (one to release the lock) where the 7II is a single button for lock release and adjustment (push then turn)Ĥ) A brighter viewfinder (though I don't really see much of a difference)ĥ) The 7II has multiple exposure capability.Ħ) The 7II has a chrome plated battery cover, the 7's is black.ħ) The 7II has the word MAMIYA embossed in raised letters on the left hand grip. (You may not find this a pain if you use the Mamiya tripod adapter or something else).ģ) A different type of button arrangement on the exposure comp. I use the RRS tripod plate and it comes pretty close to this knob.

I have to remove the 7 from the tripod to engage the curtain and change a lens. The 7II has a flip down winder, the 7 has a recessed knob. The 7II has the following improvements over the 7:ġ) A relocated cable release socket (The 7's is by the button release, the 7II is on the lower side of the left hand grip.).Ģ) An improved darkslide curtain winder. Here is a comparison based on my 7 and 7II. Subject: Re: Medium format rangefinders (M7 -vs- M7II) I have included the original poster's name: SPD sensor in finder range: EV3 (f/ 2 sec.) ~ EV18 1/500 sec. Here's a good summary lifted from the great Medium Format Megasite, which lifted it from somewhere else. – 1/500 sec., B X synchronization at all speeds
USED MAMIYA 7 II FULL
Optional interchangeable panoramic insert mask (24 x 65mm with 35mm roll film)Įlectromagnetic full flash synch lens shutterĤ sec. Like its predecessor, it is a “quick on the draw” camera.Ħ x 7 format rangefinder with interchangeable lensesĦ x 7cm (56 x 69.5mm with 120/220 roll film) The location of the cable release socket has been moved to the more accessible bottom-right side of the body. Three strap lugs now make the camera easy to carry in either vertical and horizontal positions. The Mamiya 7 II has high visibility frame lines in the focusing system so that the bright frame appears clearly in the rangefinder, even in the case of intense ambient light.
USED MAMIYA 7 II PROFESSIONAL
With increased demand from pros and advanced 35mm shooters, the Mamiya 7 now features an improved rangefinder, simplified exposure compensation, improved ergonomics and the option of a professional all black finish. This camera is the only 6x7cm rangefinder system which features either interchangeable lenses or a light meter. Mamiya’s unique 6×7 format rangefinder camera is now even more versatile. The Mamiya 7 II features a maximum shutter speed of 1/500 sec and has +/- 2 stops of exposure compensation. The rangefinder is ideal for quick, accurate focusing, particularly in low light situations being brighter than medium format SLR finders.
USED MAMIYA 7 II MANUAL
Compact and lightweight, the Mamiya 7 II has aperture priority as well as fully manual mode. The Mamiya 7 II is a medium format 6x7cm rangefinder camera with interchangeable leaf shutter lenses. The lens has a protective lens filter/cover in glass (besides the original lens cap). Everything works perfect and there is no scratches, no fungus, no dust etc. I’m selling my dear Mamiya 7II black color with a 80mm f/4 lens, both in MINT condition, as new.
